Privacy Policy — Horizon Words

Overview

Horizon Words (“the App”) is a daily word guessing game that works entirely on your device. It collects no personal data, has no accounts, and never connects to the internet.

Data Collection

Horizon Words collects zero personal data.

The App stores only your game state and preferences locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults:

• Game Statistics: Games played, win/loss record, guess distribution — stored locally to show your stats.
• Preferences: Your chosen theme, dark mode, and hard mode settings.
• Current Game State: Your in-progress puzzle, so you can resume where you left off.

This data never leaves your device. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no way for us to access it.

The App does not:

• Collect any personal information
• Connect to the internet for any reason
• Use analytics or third-party tracking services
• Display advertisements
• Require or offer account creation
• Access your contacts, photos, location, or any device data

Data Storage

All data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. Nothing is transmitted, synced, or backed up to any server. Deleting the App removes all stored data permanently.

Third-Party Services

Horizon Words uses no third-party services. It has zero external dependencies and makes no network requests.

Permissions

Horizon Words requests no device permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or any other device capability.

Children's Privacy

Because Horizon Words collects no personal data whatsoever, it is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. Deleting the App permanently removes all stored data. There is no cloud data to manage or delete.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new policy here with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
