Privacy Policy — HORIZON

Overview

HORIZON (“the App”) is an atmospheric idle game that works entirely on your device. It collects no personal data, has no accounts, and does not connect to the internet beyond processing optional purchases.

Data Collection

HORIZON collects zero personal data.

The App stores only your game state locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults:

• Game Save Data: Your progress including generators, resources, prestige level, narrative progress, and unlocked content.
• Preferences: Audio volume, haptic intensity, and display settings.

This data never leaves your device. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no way for us to access it.

The App does not:

• Collect any personal information
• Require or offer account creation
• Use analytics or third-party tracking services
• Display advertisements
• Track your location
• Access your contacts, photos, or any device data

Data Storage

All data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. The App includes an export feature that copies your save data to your clipboard as a text code — this is entirely manual and initiated only by you. Deleting the App removes all stored data permanently.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following service:

• Apple StoreKit — For processing the optional “First Light” one-time purchase ($4.99). Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment information.

We do not use any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers.

Purchases

“First Light” is a one-time, non-recurring in-app purchase that unlocks cosmetic and quality-of-life features. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information.

Permissions

HORIZON requests no device permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or any other device capability.

Children's Privacy

Because HORIZON collects no personal data and does not require an account, it is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. Deleting the App permanently removes all stored data. There is no cloud data to manage or delete.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new policy here with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
