Privacy Policy — Horizon Crossword

Overview

Horizon Crossword (“the App”) is a daily crossword puzzle game that works entirely on your device. It collects no personal data, has no accounts, and does not connect to the internet.

Data Collection

Horizon Crossword collects zero personal data.

The App stores only your game state locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults:

• Game Progress: Puzzle completion status, campaign progress, daily challenge streaks, star ratings, and statistics — stored to track your progress.
• Achievements: Your unlocked achievements and milestone tracking.
• Preferences: Your chosen theme and audio settings.

This data never leaves your device. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no way for us to access it.

The App does not:

• Collect any personal information
• Require or offer account creation
• Track your location
• Access your contacts, photos, or other device data
• Use analytics or third-party tracking services
• Display advertisements
• Sell or share your data with third parties for marketing

Data Storage

All data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. Nothing is transmitted, synced, or backed up to any server. Deleting the App removes all stored data permanently.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following service:

• Apple StoreKit — For processing premium purchases (monthly subscription or one-time lifetime purchase). Payments are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment information. Apple Privacy Policy

We do not use any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers.

Purchases

Horizon Crossword Premium is available as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Children's Privacy

Because Horizon Crossword collects no personal data and does not require an account, it is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. Deleting the App permanently removes all stored data. There is no cloud data to manage or delete.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new policy here with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
